Wifi not working - windows does not detect any hardware drivers

 Wi-fi connections not showing? 

Hey there, welcome to daily Advisor. Today we are going to troubleshoot all your wifi related issues in all windows operating systems - windows 7, windows 8, windows 10.

The issue of wifi is not detected mainly comes in Windows 7 operating. as windows 8 and windows 10 have advanced options for this. 


So lets start with the Windows 7 operating system : 

Whether your wifi is not working or you have installed fresh windows which caused you connection problem? 

We will solve all these kind of issue. 

Now lets look first what you find on the internet generally. 

First you should try these steps: 

1. Restart your pc. 

2. Find driver of the network in windows installation. 

3. Check whether the laptop is on flight mode. This is one is important. On some laptops there is wifi switch in the function keys. You will see a wifi / tower icon below one of the function key from f2, f8 or printsrc. 

4. I have seen many bloggs or youtube videos saying that update your driver - but you don't have access to internet how you can do that?

 

Actually the best drivers are installed by windows it self. But due to some error at the time of installation  a fresh windows there may be problem in your wifi driver. 

You can download the drivers for you device from the official website in another system then run the setup on your computer. This will  solve your problem. 


If this will not solve then there is one simple solution that might give you idea how you can solve this issue.

Steps: 

  1. Connect your smartphone to your pc or laptop
  2. Then Turn on Mobile network on your smartphone
  3. Then go to the settings of wifi and hotspot. There you will find option of USB tethering. Turn it on
  4. You will be able to use the internet on your computer now via USB tethering without installing any software or driver. 
  5. Now go to the device manager from control panel. or press Start  and search device manager or you can press ctrl + X. 
  6. Find the network drivers there. First click on the menu scan hardware changes. 
  7. Then go to the network drivers and update them. 
  8. This will automatically do the installation of proper drivers for you.
  9. If this will not solve the issue for you then open the browser. and search for driver pack solutions. download the software.
  10. Run the setup. And follow the procedure. It will automatically install all remaining drivers for you without any problem.
